This stunning piece of furniture was commissioned by Coco Chanel in 1926. Designed by Sir Robert Lorimer and built by Whytock & Reid in Edinburgh, it found its new home in Rosehall - the love nest of Coco Chanel and her lover the Duke of Westminster.
It was built the same year that Coco invented the little black dress and was the wardrobe in her personal bedroom at Rosehall.
It sold in our first auction in 2022 and the buyer have completed the house build and so it leaves the shop for its new home shortly.
In the meantime, its on display in our Tain shop.
